golden
rules: rock the metallic trend
Glisten this season under the influence of copper, silver and gold.
This trend is great for the extra wow factor at
night. Dot on a little silver shimmer on the
center of your eyelid or swipe gold, bronze or
copper across your entire eyelid from the lash
line to the crease. When playing with this look
keep the rest of the face natural and minimal so
you don't overpower your look.
Rule No. 1: Choose an eye shadow without large glitter
particles. Finely milled pigments that produce a sheen, rather
than a sparkle, are where it’s at. Try
Intensif-Eye in Wish which contains luxe shades of metallic
gold and silver.
Rule No. 2: Don’t pile it on. Only apply just enough color or
the excess will travel as the evening progresses. Apply
sparingly with a
Squirrel Large Fluff Brush.
Rule No. 3: Play with textures. From sheer to opaque, experiment
with different intensities of copper, silver and gold. For
more dramatic color, try foiling- mix color with
Liquif-Eye. This also transforms ordinary eye shadow
into liquid eyeliner that won't smudge, smear or disappear!
Holds its own when you swim, splash, or even shed a few tears.
Rule No. 4: Don’t restrict yourself to just one shade. Metallic
eye shadows are versatile and compliment every skin tone.
Rule No. 5: Pick any formula –
cream or
powder – of eye shadow you like best. Neither should crease
if you use pressed powder on your eyelid first.
